Marketing Internship – Summer 2023

Contract

Q5 is looking for a graduate to join our team in either Leeds or London, UK for an 8 week period over the summer of 2023.

We are award-winning experts in organisation change, helping to build better businesses across the world.  We are all about organisational health, which separates good organisations from the great. Whether our clients are at the top of their game (and want to remain there) or are in ‘turnaround’ mode, we all need to work on our organisational health.  Whatever the situation, be it a strategic conundrum, a market opportunity, or an operational gripe, we combine the art and science of organisational health to help our clients improve and excel.

Q5 was set up to be nimble enough to work across different sectors and locations, and create results based on the specific needs of our clients. We are pleased to offer 8 week internships to undergradutes and graduates within our Marketing team.  

The purpose of this role is to support Q5 marketing activities as part of the ‘Work Winning’ team of marketing and business development.  The Marketing Intern will be a key support to different team members on their various workstreams.

Over the eight weeks, the intern will receive a full induction into Q5 and our brand, and we will provide full training across an array of marketing skills, including digital marketing, brand management, communication and presentation skills, graphic design and events management.   

Key responsibilities: 

Maintaining and Building Brand 

  • Work with our team to understand the Q5 brand guidelines and ensure they are properly applied to all key Q5 branded material
  • Support with the creation and refresh of a centralised PowerPoint slide depository, image bank and core PowerPoint deck content to be used globally
  • Support with the creation of new branded templates/collateral and guidelines where needed

Internal Communications 

  • Coordinate the management of our weekly webinar pack
  • Write up of marketing round up each month
  • Reach out to Q5ers to promote events via email and Yammer, our internal networking tool

Q5 External Webinars  

Work with the team to support the execution of a standard plan for Q5 webinars. This may require: 

  • Creating written content to support webinars
  • Creating graphics on Canva or video editing for social media and Eventbrite
  • Working with Q5ers for all supporting content and PowerPoint slide creation 
  • Liaising with external speakers to coordinate webinar plans, including building the script, slide deck and post-webinar materials
  • Setting up webinars via Teams and support the running on the day (e.g., monitor chat, facilitate Q&A) 
  • Working closely with Q5’s Social Media Manager and attending external agency meetings

Quarterly newsletter 

  • Working with the team to support the drafting of our newsletter
  • Seek comments from relevant stakeholders, revise and seek final approvals
  • Ensure all logistics for distribution are ready

Events 

  • Working with the team, support the logistics for any face-to-face events that are being planned
  • Work with the Q5 marketing event owner to organise and execute marketing content
  • Be available to support in person at the event

Market Research  

Working with the team to explore new avenues and ideas that could help to raise awareness of Q5 as a trusted partner over the next 12 months

General holiday cover for the team as required. 

 

Skills required. 

A self-starter with capabilities in:  

  • Planning and Project Management 
  • Teamwork 
  • Communication 
  • Copywriting 
  • Initiative and follow through
  • Creative thinking 
  • Basic digital design skills or an interest to learn these skills.
