Recognising the need to be fit for operating in the 21st Century, the department had embarked on a huge change journey: moving to three directorates and focusing on a central hub with fewer, larger regional spokes. The department commissioned an organisation-wide engagement piece to redesign their values. They launched a 5-year campaign to embed these values in all the staff. Q5 where asked to support with two elements:

“This was a truly inspirational course. Although specifically focussed on the values there was a clear link to leadership!
The discussions around building trust and integrity resonated the most with me in my role as a leader and in my capacity as engagement lead for my business area. This very interactive course gave plenty of food for thought, allowed for discussions within groups and really encouraged group members to share their positive stories and experiences of the values.
We looked at various techniques to help plan and manage change. Having attended various Leadership courses in the past, they were not techniques I was familiar with, so that was a bonus and will be of real benefit to me going forward.”
