Logicalis is a global technology business facing significant challenge and unprecedented levels of change in their industry. Cloud, big data, new entrants and social technology are all eroding their core IT infrastructure business. They rapidly need to adapt to shift their business model to a more global and customer-centric focus based on software and services. Their leaders are challenged to deliver this change, to create a more collaborative, connected global organisation with the capacity to lead strategic-level change.
Logicalis approached Q5 to design and deliver a flagship leadership programme that would support their top talent to build these strategic capabilities and deliver the change required.
We worked closely with the Global VP HR and his team throughout the design and delivery of a 9 month leadership programme.
The Diagnostic phase focussed on interviews with each of the Executive team to explore the strategic capabilities that would be required to deliver their vision. Ensuring clarity and alignment of the Executive team helped gain the commitment of every country MD to the programme.
During the Design also we interviewed key customers, suppliers, local leaders and HR teams to create a programme that was aligned to their strategy, relevant to each local business and accessible for a global cohort of future executive leaders. We worked with HR to leverage existing programmes and organisational data.
Logicalis were keen to co-deliver the programme and we ran programme ‘tasters’ to brief and upskill a global team of internal Logicalis coaches.
The programme Delivery has succeeded in connecting learning activities with strategic change. Securing sponsorship from the CEO, COO and Regional CEOs has created a strong positive traction to the participants’ learning experience, as well aligning the Leadership Academy to the strategic direction of the business.
