The Marie Collins Foundation (MCF) is a UK-based charity that helps children who have experienced online sexual abuse both in the UK and globally. They work with children, families, practitioners, government departments, other NGOs and industry to ensure the response to those harmed reflects current best practice. The charity has major funders e.g., BT and EVAC to support them with their activities, however they informed us that they wanted to explore further income options due to the impact of Covid-19 on their funding partners.
We held two virtual workshops with the MCF Team, in which we reviewed what they had achieved to date and then looked forward to their future ambition and vision for the next 4 years. We also confirmed the organisation’s strategic direction and reviewed their previous, current and future income streams and investment requirements to achieve their 4-year ambition. Within this, we spent time brainstorming possible future income streams, which led in turn to us connecting then into a new industry.
We also provided a review of their social media and website, where we shared insights and an approach for targeted funders. We shared latest thinking and examples of effective virtual fundraising and developed a prioritised set of actions and next steps to enable the team to achieve their goals.
“Thank you so much to all members of the Q5 Pop up team for giving us the chance to review our current funding status and to make plans to enable the charity to not only stay on a sustainable footing but to grow in capacity in order to meet the increasing demands for our services. The sessions you ran were informative and allowed for free discussion to take place with a sharing of ideas and solutions.”
