Laura joined Q5 in April 2022. Prior to this, she was working within the Finance team at a Foreign Exchange brokerage after attaining her BSc in Accounting & Finance from Newcastle University. Laura is part-qualified in the Chartered accountancy qualification through ACCA with the plan to finish her final two exams at Q5. These experiences have cultivated strong numeracy and analytical skills which will lend themselves to projects across every sector.
Through working with Teach First, as an SEN classroom assistant, au pair in Italy and various other work with young people Laura has a keen interest in Education and equal opportunities for young people. She endeavours to partake in pop-up projects in these areas during her time at Q5. Building relationships and connecting with others is a hugely important aspect of work for Laura and one she draws much motivation from.
Outside of work you’ll find her spending as much time outside as possible, whether this is running, walking or hiking (if in her hometown, Northern Ireland). Spending time with friends and sampling every pastry London has to offer are other enjoyable pastimes.
