Oliver Matthews

Oliver has a degree in Maths and Philosophy from the University of Bristol where he began the journey to find the balance between art & science. He returned to Q5 after a successful 3 months as a research analyst to continue using his personable, inquisitive and analytical style to forge relationships with clients and work to solve their problems methodically. Since rejoining Q5, Oliver has worked with a variety of cross industry clients and several government departments to improve organisational health – growing his knowledge and passion for the value good OD brings. Recently he has worked on enterprise-wide design for an insurer post-acquisition, enabling culture and structure integration between three companies while designing to achieve growth goals in a new geography.

Prior to Q5 he completed a mini-pupilage with a civil barrister and interned in financial services, where he applied quantitative and qualitative methods to solve complex problems. Combining interests in public policy, finance, technology, cryptography, politics, and ESG, he enjoys applying these to client work.
