Richard (AKA Tricky) is Q5’s APAC Director for Client Experiences, based in the Sydney Office, but covering the APAC region.
Tricky’s first role was through the BMW Graduate Management Scheme, working with the GB business and various dealerships across the UK. Following this he moved to take an Associate Director role at the Bank of Scotland, initially in the Asset Finance division before spending several years working in the Marine Finance division where he was responsible for financing the purchase of luxury yachts.
As with many people, the 2008/9 Global Financial Crisis was a defining moment in their career, and Tricky found himself relocating to a different hemisphere, moving to Sydney, where he took a role with the Accounting Membership Community CPA Australia. This role allowed Tricky to build a strong local network which he has continued to build through various roles at organisations such as IECL, Melbourne Business School and Gartner where his curiosity and people centric focus has helped to build long standing and strong personal and organisational relationships.
Tricky is a keen runner and swimmer and likes nothing more than taking his Labrador Charlie, on long walks and refreshing swims around Sydney Harbour, and of course stopping in his local pub for a refreshing beer afterwards!
