Since studying to be an engineer, Tim’s 17-year career in consulting has taken him steadily away from the mechanics of things towards the behaviour of people. He has led organisational change and development across the UK, the US, Scandinavia, Australia, Hong Kong and the Middle East. At Q5, Tim leads our Leadership Development practice.
He reads books on psychology and behavioural economics and he loves reminding other Q5ers that stories change behaviour better than rules and processes. Some of his favourite words are “idea”, “hero” and “hobbit”, and he’ll fit a Lord of the Rings reference into any workshop given half a chance.
Tim plays a lot of tennis and is inspired by the texts of Andre Agassi, who wrote: “Hitting a ball dead perfect – the only peace”. Until Tim has that experience for himself, he’ll make do with some meditation and taking the camera for walks in the Chilterns, usually after tennis.
